Can’t Stop the Signal

So I just finished writing a long blog posting in praise of this week's new movie, Serenity. It included my ideas about what made the movie so great, and a lot of praise for the writer/directory, Joss Whedon (I think he's one of the best screenwriters out there.)

Then the power went out, my computer shut down, and I lost everything I was typing. It reminds me of an old computer programmer I once knew who saw my computer crash and gleefully cackled: "There are only three sure things in this world: death, taxes, and data loss. Guess which one has just occurred?"

So anyway, it's too late for me to rewrite the posting, so I'll just summarize:

Serenity was really, really great, and you ought to go see it.
